Christine Corau
Christine Corau is a British singer songwriter who started from the humble beginnings of writing folk-based music on guitar. She has, more recently, been inspired by the work she completed during her Masters degree in songwriting, which has encouraged her to embark on a new musical journey. Evolving her music through the use of production as a principal aspect of her songwriting, her current musical style now leans towards a blend of electronic, synth-based, adult-orientated rock and art pop, while still containing the foundations of her folk roots.
Christine is currently in the process of mixing her first album, having written and produced all of the songs herself. Her first single is due for release in March 2024, and this will be followed by a second single release and then her debut album, ‘Three Scarlet Words.’
Originally a classical guitarist, Christine is also an accomplished vocal coach and singing teacher and, while the guitar has always been her preferred instrument, it is the versatility of the voice that Christine has constantly been drawn to. As a result, her use of intricate harmonies and emotional storytelling remain at the heart of all of her songs, while her new-found production skills enable her to entwine these into multi-instrumental soundscapes.
While Christine is keen to share her unique sound, she also believes in the multifaceted power of music and its ability to heal both physically and emotionally. Because of this, her goal is to donate a proportion of the profits from her music to help charities and worthy causes, in the simple hope that she can take something she loves doing to help others.
